The AED 2,000,000 is measured on the property, and the property can be off-plan or ready. Requirements for how much has been paid, and for mortgaged property, are set by the authorities and can change, so confirm them at the time of purchase.
Where qualifying homes are common
Branded and larger-format projects, such as Jumeirah Residences, W Residences, Nobu Residences, Mandarin Oriental Residences and Four Seasons Private Residences, sit at higher price points. On Al Reem Island, Modon states that properties of AED 2 million or more at Reem Hills qualify. Smaller units elsewhere may fall below the threshold.
What to confirm
Ask for the exact price of the unit, the payment schedule, and how the project treats off-plan buyers for visa purposes. Do not assume a project qualifies because it is a luxury project.
